Technical Support: Not sure which G-rating you need? View our ShockWatch 2 Selection Grid & Damage Claims Protocol.

Identical to the ShockWatch 2 you already use — with a QR code added. Same seven sensitivities, same 43 × 43 mm size, same acrylic adhesive, same field-arming, same price. It fits and reads exactly as before, turning bright red if your shipment is dropped or mishandled above the selected G-level. What's new is the QR code on every indicator, which anyone can scan with a phone camera to read the condition and serial number. No app, no account.

SpotSee is moving the range to ShockWatch® 2 QR.

As standard ShockWatch 2 stock runs out, the QR version becomes the supplied product. It shares the same sensitivities, colours, 43 × 43 mm size, adhesive, fitting and price — it adds the scannable digital record. Standard ShockWatch 2 remains available from us while supplies last.

ShockWatch 2 QR Key Features:

  • Visual + QR Scan: The same clear red impact alert, plus a QR code on every indicator.
  • No App Required: Recipients scan the QR with any smartphone camera (Safari, Chrome or Firefox), or a handheld mobile computer camera.
  • Field-Armable: The sensor is armed and applied to the product when you are ready to ship, preventing accidental triggers during packing and storage.
  • Serialised & Tamper-Proof: Every indicator carries a unique serial number, read by scanning the QR code, so sensors cannot be swapped or faked.
  • Same Fit as ShockWatch 2: Identical 43 × 43 mm footprint, acrylic adhesive and sensitivities, so nothing about your packing process needs to change.

What scanning gives you

Every ShockWatch 2 QR indicator can be scanned with a phone camera, with no app and no account, whichever pack size you buy. That scan does four useful things:

  • Reads the serial number. The serial is not printed on the indicator, so scanning is the only way to read it — turning a red window into an identified device you can tie to a consignment.
  • Photographs the indicator. The scan captures an image of the indicator as part of the check and shows it on screen, so the recipient has a picture taken at the moment of receipt rather than one remembered afterwards.
  • Returns a clear verdict. The scan shows on screen whether the indicator has fired, rather than leaving someone to judge how red a window looks.
  • Defeats substitution. Match the serial scanned on arrival to the one recorded at dispatch and nobody can claim a different indicator was fitted.

Which pack size do you need?

10 Pack — everything ShockWatch 2 does, plus QR scanning.

Ten ShockWatch 2 QR indicators and ten ring labels in a sealed bag.

  • Same impact mechanism and sensitivities as the standard ShockWatch 2
  • Checked instantly by eye, exactly as before
  • QR code on every indicator — scan for condition and serial number
  • No app, no account, nothing to set up
  • Does not include SpotSee Cloud registration — the Cloud dashboard needs the registration code supplied with the 100 pack
  • Ideal for trials, low volumes and occasional shipments

100 Pack — all of the above, plus registration to your own SpotSee Cloud.

SpotSee's own box of 100 indicators and ring labels, carrying a unique Box ID and registration QR code. Scan that label to create or connect your organisation's SpotSee Cloud account and add all 100 sensors to your dashboard.

  • All 100 sensors added to your own dashboard in one step, by scanning the box label
  • Condition status for every sensor you have deployed, in one place
  • Scan history per sensor — where and when each one was scanned
  • Scan time and location, which are shown in the Cloud portal only
  • A view across multiple shipments, so you can see which routes, depots or handovers generate impacts
  • Multiple authorised users under one organisation, with permissions set by whoever created it

SpotSee issue one registration code per 100-unit box, and that code registers all 100 sensors to a single Cloud account. Registration therefore comes with the 100 pack. Sensors from a factory box are assigned to a single SpotSee Cloud organisation, though that organisation can have several authorised users.

In short: choose the 10 pack for individual visual and QR-enabled shipment checks. Choose the 100 pack if you also want to manage the sensors centrally through your own SpotSee Cloud dashboard.

ShockWatch 2 QR – Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between ShockWatch 2 and ShockWatch 2 QR?

Both give the same bright-red visual alert when a shipment is dropped or mishandled, in the same sensitivities and the same 43 × 43 mm size. ShockWatch 2 QR adds a QR code on every indicator, which can be scanned with a smartphone camera to display the indicator's condition and serial number, and to capture an image of the indicator. Scan time and location are shown in the SpotSee Cloud portal.

Do I need an app to read a ShockWatch 2 QR?

No. Recipients simply scan the QR code with any standard smartphone camera and browser — no app or account is needed to read the condition.

Do I need a SpotSee Cloud account to use these?

No. The indicators work visually and by QR scan without any account. A SpotSee Cloud account is only needed if you want a central dashboard across all your sensors, with scan time and location. SpotSee issue one registration code per 100-unit box, so Cloud registration is available with the 100 pack only, not the 10 pack.

Where is the serial number?

Each indicator is uniquely serialised, and the serial is displayed on screen when the QR code is scanned. If you need to record it against a consignment, scan the indicator before dispatch and copy the serial into your paperwork.

How can I tell if my parcel was dropped during shipping?

ShockWatch 2 QR indicators turn bright red if the shipment experiences a drop or impact above the selected G-level, providing clear, tamper-proof evidence of mishandling during transit.

How do I prove a courier damaged my goods?

ShockWatch 2 QR provides objective, tamper-evident proof of impact. If the indicator is triggered on delivery, do not refuse the shipment — note it on the delivery receipt, photograph the indicator and packaging, and request carrier inspection within 15 days (3 days for international shipments). Scanning the indicator captures an image and shows the condition on screen, which supports the claim.

Which G-level should I choose for my shipment?

Lower G-levels (5G–15G) suit fragile items such as optics, medical devices and precision instruments. Mid-range levels (25G–37G) suit general industrial products and electronics. Higher levels (50G–75G) are best for robust or well-protected goods where only severe mishandling should trigger an alert.

Is the ShockWatch 2 QR reusable?

No. Like the original, ShockWatch 2 QR is a single-use indicator. Once armed and applied it provides a permanent, tamper-evident record for that shipment.
