Description

SpotSee® MAG 2000 – Multi-Orientation Shock Indicator

The MAG 2000 is a robust, reusable shock indicator designed for large crates, machinery, heavy equipment and precision shipments. Using a precision magnetic trigger mechanism, it activates only when impact forces exceed the specific G-level and orientation selected for your shipment.

This industry-standard device is widely used across aerospace, defence, automotive, engineering and large crating operations to reveal mishandling that would otherwise remain undetected during transport or handling.

Please note: MAG 2000 units are supplied to order. We do not hold stock. Typical lead time is 3–5 working days from our UK distribution centre.

Key Features

  • Reusable magnetic trigger mechanism
  • Wide G-range selection from 0.5G to 20G
  • Multiple orientation options for tailored protection
  • Suitable for large crates, heavy equipment and vibration-sensitive machinery
  • Clear visual activation window for rapid inspection

How It Works

The MAG 2000 uses a precision magnetic trigger calibrated to a specific G-force and orientation. When an impact exceeds this threshold, the internal indicator changes state, providing clear, tamper-evident visual confirmation that a potentially damaging event has occurred.

Orientation Options

The MAG 2000 requires the correct orientation to be selected at checkout. Available options include:

  • Horizontal Trigger – Horizontal Impact (HH): Activates if the shipment receives a sideways impact while positioned horizontally.
  • Vertical Trigger – Vertical Impact (VV): Designed for equipment shipped upright that must not experience strong upward or downward impacts.
  • Vertical Trigger – Horizontal Impact (VH): Ideal for tall or upright loads where side-impact detection is required.
  • Two-Unit Dual Orientation Set (M23A): Includes one vertically mounted and one horizontally mounted indicator for full-axis monitoring.

Pack Style

  • Single Unit: Standard MAG 2000 shock indicator.
  • With Bracket: Single-unit indicator supplied with mounting bracket and adhesive backing.
  • Two-Unit Set: Complete dual-orientation monitoring kit (M23A).

Typical Applications

  • Aerospace and avionics equipment
  • Industrial machinery and heavy engineering
  • Medical and laboratory devices
  • Large export crates and palletised freight
  • Precision instruments and calibration tools
