About Us
Our Story: From Colour Changing Roots to Global Innovation
For 25 years, our work has focused on the science of change. Founded by Jeremy Dredge as a family-run company dedicated to advanced colour-changing technologies, the business has spent over two decades developing smart materials for a variety of industrial and creative sectors.
Today, Good Life Innovations Ltd operates from facilities in the UK and Spain. While the company's background is in specialized chemistry, that experience is now applied across three core areas of monitoring and design:
Supply Chain Monitoring (SpotSee®)
As an Authorised Partner of SpotSee®, we supply the UK with professional impact, tilt, and temperature indicators. We use our 25-year history in materials to help customers select the right sensors to protect high-value shipments and reduce transit damage.
Special Effects & Smart Materials (SFXC®)
Through our SFXC® range, we support artists, researchers, and manufacturers with specialized inks and coatings. We help bridge the gap between chemistry and creative design by offering materials that respond to temperature, light, and moisture.
Project Spotlight: The Tate Modern Turbine Hall
Our work often involves unprecedented technical challenges. In collaboration with artist Tania Bruguera, the SFXC® team produced a continuous colour-changing floor for the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall.
At 200,000 square feet, the sheer scale of this thermochromic installation is widely considered the largest of its kind ever attempted. It required precise calibration to ensure the surface reacted to body heat while remaining durable enough to withstand over a million visitors.
