SpotSee® Thermax Micro Irreversible Temperature Labels provide compact, high-precision monitoring wherever space is limited and accurate heat exposure records are critical. Each strip contains four temperature cells; when a cell’s rated temperature is exceeded, it permanently changes colour to give clear, tamper-proof evidence that the threshold has been reached.

The Micro format is designed for applications where standard Thermax strips are physically too large or where you need discreet indicators on small components, assemblies or instruments. Typical uses include electronics, medical devices, small enclosures, bearings, motors, printed circuit boards, laboratory equipment and validation work.

Once any cell has activated, the colour change is irreversible. This provides a permanent record of the highest temperature reached, supporting quality assurance, traceability, warranty investigation and audit/compliance requirements.

How They Work
Each cell on the Micro strip contains a specially formulated, heat-sensitive element. When the surface temperature reaches or exceeds the cell’s rated value, the element melts and migrates, changing from a light to a dark state. This reaction is irreversible – once a cell has turned, it cannot reset – providing a permanent visual record that the temperature point has been exceeded at some time during use, transport or storage.
