Cold Chain Complete Temperature Cards provide a clear, irreversible visual record of temperature exposure across critical cold-chain thresholds. Each card combines FreezeSafe® and WarmMark® technologies to identify both low-temperature and high-temperature excursions during storage and transport.

Designed for pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biologics, clinical trials, diagnostics, and other temperature-sensitive healthcare products, Cold Chain Complete cards enable rapid inspection, compliance verification, and investigation without the need for electronics, batteries, or data retrieval.

The standard Cold Chain Complete card provides a larger footprint for increased visibility and is designed to be placed inside shipping boxes or insulated containers.

How It Works

Each Cold Chain Complete card contains multiple chemically calibrated indicators that respond when predefined temperature limits are exceeded.

• FreezeSafe® indicator: Responds to exposure below the minimum temperature threshold and requires no activation.
• WarmMark® indicator: Responds to time and temperature exposure above the maximum threshold and is armed by folding and pulling the activation tab.

Once activated, the card monitors cumulative temperature exposure throughout the shipment or storage period. If a threshold is exceeded for the defined duration, the relevant indicator permanently changes colour, providing clear, tamper-evident evidence that a temperature excursion has occurred.

Understanding the Indicators

• White window: Temperature limits have not been exceeded
• Coloured window: Temperature exposure has exceeded the defined threshold

All colour changes are irreversible. WarmMark® indicators respond to both temperature and exposure duration, while FreezeSafe® indicators respond to exposure below the defined temperature threshold. This helps distinguish between brief temperature events and excursions that may compromise product quality or compliance.

Use & Handling Clauses

• Placement: Place the card where it reflects the product environment and can be easily inspected on receipt. Avoid locations where it may be obscured, crushed, or exposed to abrasion.
• Activation: Activate the WarmMark® indicator immediately before shipment according to the supplied instructions. The FreezeSafe® indicator requires no activation.
• Interpretation: Indicators provide evidence that temperature limits have been exceeded but do not record exact temperature, timing, or duration.
• One-Time Use: Cold Chain Complete Temperature Cards are single-use and cannot be reset or reused.
• Responsibility: These indicators support quality and compliance decisions but do not prevent temperature excursions or guarantee product condition.
