Description

ShockWatch 2 Impact Indicators – 10 Pack & 100 Pack

ShockWatch 2 single-use impact indicators provide a clear, tamper-evident visual alert when a shipment has been exposed to potentially damaging shock. Available in multiple G-level sensitivities from 5G to 75G and in both 10-pack and 100-pack formats, they help reduce hidden damage, improve accountability in your supply chain, and support faster resolution of damage claims.

What is ShockWatch 2?

ShockWatch 2 is a self-adhesive, single-use impact indicator that changes colour when the preset G-level is exceeded. Once activated, the indicator cannot be reset, providing a permanent visual record that a package has experienced potentially damaging handling. This makes it ideal for monitoring high-value, delicate, or mission-critical shipments where even a single hard drop can cause internal damage.

Choosing the right G-level

Each G-level corresponds to a different impact sensitivity. Lower G values are more sensitive and suited to fragile goods, while higher G values are appropriate for more robust, well-protected items.

  • 5G, 10G, 15G: Very fragile equipment, precision instruments, optics, medical devices.
  • 25G, 37G: General industrial products, electronics, assemblies with appropriate cushioning.
  • 50G, 75G: More rugged or well-packaged items where only severe mishandling should trigger an alert.

If you are unsure which G-level is appropriate, please contact us with details of your product, packaging, and shipping method and we can help you select a suitable sensitivity.

Pack size options

This listing provides ShockWatch 2 indicators in two pack sizes. Use the drop-down menus above to select the G-level and pack size required:

  • 10 Pack (10 indicators): Ideal for trials, evaluations, small projects, or one-off shipments.
  • 100 Pack (100 indicators): Better suited to regular use, export programmes, and standardisation across multiple shipments.

Typical applications

  • Electronics, instrumentation, and medical devices
  • Precision engineered components and assemblies
  • High-value capital equipment and machinery
  • Crated, palletised, or boxed goods where hidden damage is a concern
  • Any shipment where clear evidence of mishandling is required

Installation & use

  • Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or release agents.
  • Peel away the backing liner and apply the indicator firmly to the outer packaging (carton, crate, or equipment).
  • Position the indicator where it will be clearly visible on receipt and not obscured by labels or strapping.
  • Use companion labels where appropriate to warn handlers that the shipment is being monitored for impact.
  • Once triggered, the indicator window changes colour permanently and cannot be reset.

Stock, lead times & shipping

We hold popular ShockWatch 2 G-levels in UK stock and work closely with SpotSee to support larger and repeat orders. However, demand for specific sensitivities can fluctuate and some G-levels may occasionally be placed on factory back-order.

  • Standard orders: Where stock is available, orders normally ship promptly from our UK facility.
  • Less common G-levels or larger quantities: These may be supplied to order and, in some cases, shipped directly from SpotSee to protect indicator integrity and reduce handling.
  • Packaging and handling: Shock indicators are sensitive devices and require careful packing and transport. In some cases, this may result in a higher shipping cost than standard catalogue items.

If your requirement is time-critical, or you are ordering multiple G-levels for a project, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm current stock availability, lead times, and the most appropriate shipping options.
