SpotSee® TiltWatch® Plus – Precision 360° Tilt Monitoring

When "upright" isn't descriptive enough. The TiltWatch Plus is designed for high-value machinery and sensitive electronics that require exact orientation monitoring. Unlike binary indicators, the Plus model provides a detailed readout of the exact angle of tilt and identifies if a total 180° inversion occurred.

Advanced Monitoring Capabilities:

  • Multi-Axis Readout: Two separate windows track the degree of tilt from 30° to 80° in 10° increments.
  • Full Inversion Tracking: A third specialized window identifies if the shipment has been completely overturned (180°).
  • Non-Resettable Evidence: Once the copper beads move into the designated angle slots, they cannot be moved back, providing an irreversible audit trail.
  • Individually Serialised: Prevents indicator swapping and ensures total accountability in the supply chain.

Technical Handling & FAQ

What makes the 'Plus' different from the 'XTR'?
The XTR is a simple "Red/White" pass-fail indicator. The Plus provides the exact degree of the tilt, which is often required for high-precision medical or aerospace equipment to determine if a recalibration is necessary after a tilt event.

Is it affected by aircraft take-off?
No. The TiltWatch Plus is specifically engineered to remain unaffected by normal aircraft takeoff angles or emergency braking during road transport.

TiltWatch® Plus – Frequently Asked Questions

What does TiltWatch Plus measure?

TiltWatch Plus records the exact degree of tilt in 10° increments and identifies full 180° inversion. This makes it suitable for equipment where precise orientation is critical.

How is TiltWatch Plus different from TiltWatch XTR?

TiltWatch XTR provides a simple pass/fail indication at 80°, while TiltWatch Plus shows the exact angle and direction of tilt. It is used when engineers need detailed orientation data for recalibration or warranty assessment.

Does TiltWatch Plus detect vibration or shock?

No. TiltWatch Plus is designed exclusively for tilt and inversion monitoring. For impact detection, pair it with ShockWatch 2.

Where should TiltWatch Plus be mounted?

Mount the indicator on a rigid, vertical surface such as a crate corner or reinforced carton wall. Avoid flexible packaging surfaces, which can distort readings.

Does TiltWatch Plus deter mishandling?

Yes. The presence of a multi-window tilt indicator significantly reduces the likelihood of a shipment being tilted or overturned, as handlers recognise the device and adjust behaviour accordingly.

What types of goods require TiltWatch Plus?

It is ideal for medical devices, aerospace components, industrial machinery, precision instruments, and any product that must remain within strict orientation tolerances.

Is TiltWatch Plus single-use?

Yes. Once the copper beads move into the angle windows, they cannot be reset, providing a permanent, tamper-evident record of tilt events.
