When you're stressed, your fingers become cooler. That's because your blood is rushing to your muscles and heart to prepare you for 'fight or flight'. And as you relax again, your hands become warmer and blood flows more freely. The stress circles register the changes in temperature, and thus tells you how stressed you are. How accurate are they? According to medical researchers, the range between 'tense' and 'relaxed' is 82°F and 92°F. Stress circles have proved to be highly accurate within this range - as accurate as a medical thermometer, in fact. Press your finger to the Circle. It will change colour depending on how stressed or relaxed you are. Use the four-colour key (image shown). Used by therapists, medical practitioners or health clubs and spas. Stress circles are very handy to publicise your own business. 19mm diameter circle of liquid crystal with strong adhesive backing. 10 degree range from 810 F to 910 F. Just peel off and stick. Each stress circle has adhesive on the back so you can stick it to skin. Can be used over and over for years. If it just stays black. Why? First, check to see if you are using the Stress circle at normal room temperature, between 21-24°C degrees. If the room is below 21°C the dot probably won't change colours. Second, a lot of people these days carry low levels of stress all the time and don't realize it. To find out if it's you or the Stress circle, try holding your hand on your warm back, just below the neck. If your hand feels cold, it's probably you. If you think it is the Stress circle, try running it under hot water or holding it up to a heat source like a light bulb, if it changes colour, the Stress circle is working. Also, we've discovered that if the Stress circle gets shipped in winter and the circles sit out in the cold for a period, this seems to put the liquid crystal into suspended animation. You can revive them by putting them near a radiator, or some other mild heat source.
