Sold out

Black Thermochromic 31°C Pigment reacts to changes in temperature or heat. While these pigments retain their colour below a certain temperature, this particular powder will start to clear at 29°C. By the time it reaches 31°C, it will have turned translucent.

Our Thermochromic materials can be used for application on paper and board and textiles. Screen printing is an ideal way to utilize this product.

Thermochromic Powders are microcapsules in a powder pigment form. This product can be used with non-aqueous based ink systems, however there are some exceptions to this. They can be used in non-aqueous based formulations for use in flexographic, UV, Screen, Offset, Gravure and Epoxy printing techniques.

For aqueous based applications, we would recommend using Thermochromic slurries.

Thermochromics are sensitive to extreme heat or when exposed to light for an extended period. General advice is to prevent exposure above 60°C, however these pigments can withstand up to 200°C for short bursts of time. On a similar note, do not freeze this product.
